![]() CERTIFICATE III IN CHILDREN'S SERVICES
Students who complete this course of study are awarded with a Certificate III in Children's Services. Students who partially complete this course receive a Statement of Attainment. Certificate III is also a component of the Diploma of Children's Services. The course you are interested in involves Competency Based Training and Assessment. ICCC cluster Competencies related to Certificate III in Children's Services into 7 Sets of Learning Materials. Assessment Assessment is Competency based. Nominal Duration: Equivalent to 8 mths full-time study (Approx.12 - 14 mths of part-time study). Course may be completed sooner. Students must complete 120 hours of work experience – this can be completed in your place of employment if currently working in a children’s service. Entry Requirements: Although there are no specific entry-level requirements in order to successfully complete the training, students need to have reading, writing and comprehension skills equivalent to HSC General Studies level. If you are a mature age person and do not have a formal leaving certificate you are still eligible to undertake the training program. distance education delivery Target Groups:
ICCC has a reputation for providing all students with a high level of support during training. Each student has a College tutor who maintains regular contact and is able to offer encouragement, assistance and feedback related to progress with studies. A College tutor is available during office hours to answer queries about course work. Students also have access to a 24hour, 1300 number. All distance students receive a regular newsletter - 'Long Distance', which contains general information from the College as well as items of special interest. |
